As night falls on Columbus, countless glowing faces spring to life.  Individuals and organizations from across Columbus carve jack-o’-lanterns and submit them to compete in a contest to determine who are the most creative carvers in town.  The shining faces then set the ambience for an evening festival which includes games, entertainment, the “Monster Mutt Parade” pet costume contest, and more.  Admission is free, and entry into the carving contest is $5.  All proceeds benefit Advocates for Children, providing a powerful voice for children who have been the victims of abuse and neglect and helping them find a safe, permanent and loving home.
